Photo Dump: Minakami etc

Posted by Shaun

Photos from when my study abroad program stayed at Ryokan Tanigawa in Minakami

Room at Ryokan Tanigawa

On the table: a leaf that says "Waseda School of International Liberal Studies: Thank you for your stay!"

Me in my yukata

Terrifying-looking yet delicious grilled fish

Breakfast

Going strawberry picking

Strawberry picking in Japan actually means all-you-can-eat strawberries for 30min

Eating Minakami gelato

All you can eat strawberries...hmm. That must be why the sign was in English. I'm actually trying to grow strawberries in a hanging basket on the front porch. At best, we may get one or two.

Love your photos! Can one save a leaf with writing on it? Or is that why you took a photo?

Thank goodness, it appears there is no shortage of ice cream in Japan!
